Writing Workshop: Creative Writing Workshop

In the garden of the Youth Center in Zaječar, the final evening of "Writing Workshop" was held, where some participants from the creative writing workshops in Novi Sad and Zaječar presented their work to the audience. They showcased poetry created during the workshops or inspired by the work done there, discussing the significance of this process and how formative it has been for them. Their poetry will be published on a special blog, as well as in a printed anthology.

The literary workshops titled "Writing Workshop" have been a regular part of the program at the Youth Center CK13 in Novi Sad for many years, led by writer Đorđe Majstorović. The workshop activities include exercises in independent and collaborative writing of prose, poetry, and cross-genre texts on socially engaged themes.

Participants included Tara Lekić, Ana Stojanović, and Milan Tica. The moderator was Đorđe Majstorović.

Tara Lekić is from Novi Sad, where she is currently pursuing a master's degree in French language and literature. She is the author of the poetry collection "Loše žvake" (Karlovačka Gymnasium, 2016), and her poems have appeared in anthologies and literary journals (Šraf, Sve je poezija, Libartes). She collaborates with the journal Libartes and the publishing house Slavitude. She is a participant in a creative writing workshop led by Ana Marija Grbić in Belgrade, as well as the Writing Workshop at CK13 in Novi Sad. She translates from French, Italian, and English.

Milan Tica was born in Novi Sad, where he graduated from the Department of Serbian Literature and Language at the Faculty of Philosophy. He publishes film reviews on web portals and is currently writing scripts for the shows "Van granica Holivuda" and "Pričajmo o filmu," which are broadcast on the YouTube channel "Filmadžija." He writes short stories and poetry. His manuscript "Iz albuma nestalog u požaru" will be published in the series "Prva knjiga Matice srpske."

Ana Stojanović is from Zaječar and is currently studying psychology in Novi Sad. Since 2018, she has been writing poetry, which you will have the opportunity to read on the blog that will emerge after the "Writing Workshop" series in Zaječar.

The "Writing Workshop" is conducted through the "Decentralization of Culture" program, jointly realized by the Zaječar Initiative and the Youth Center CK13, supported by the Swiss government as part of the "Culture for Democracy" project implemented by the Hartefakt Fund.
